"The One?" a short film by J.D. Beltran and Po Bronson

From Po:

Just posted on YouTube is the short documentary film on the science of love, "The One?" which was written, directed, and filmed by J.D. Beltran and Po Bronson, narrated by J.D., and produced and edited by J.D.

The film explores where humans get this longing for, or this notion of, a "One" - a special romantic partner. It's both a film about love and a film about science and a film about parenting. The film also explores how our early imprint of love from parents creates a natural bias that affects our perception of all those we fall in love with later in life.

Any possibility of adding subtitles or transcript for your film? Merci.

If you're looking for the details on the ideas in this film, be it in English or in another language, I recommend Thomas Lewis' et. al. book, "A General Theory of Love." It's available on Amazon and in many languages in different countries.

As a psychotherapist and business consultant, I found your film really thought provoking. In my work with individuals, I've seen the effects of early parental imprints when it comes to pursuing and recognizing love.
I also think, however, that there is more than one One. In my experience, there is "The One" at work, and that is usually the boss. This is tough because, unlike love partners, we don't select the boss. Still, most people go to the boss looking for attention, approval, understanding and acceptance. If that relationship isn't good, it colors the romantic relationship at home significantly.
